Snap Inc released a new developer tool that can be used by brands and publishers to share web content to the Snapchat application. This tool is called the Creative Kit for Web.
By using Snapchat Creative Kit for Web, business owners can get free distribution on the Snapchat app, and at the same time can get traffic back to their website.
Business owners can create a share to the Snapchat button that can be installed on a mobile or desktop website. When you share the page using this button, the audience will see it as a Snap with a custom-branded Sticker or GIF attached with a link to go to the original content on the website.
Snapchat users visiting the site on the desktop will have to scan a Snapcode with the Snapchat camera, and the link will attach the URL to Snapchat. Snapchat users can also subscribe to partners’ Discover channels from shared Snaps or when sharing an article from a Discover publisher’s website.
Last year, Snapchat released Snap Kit, a similar tool for developers to integrate Snapchat into their platforms. Since then Snap has claimed that more than 100 million Snapchat users have interacted using Snap Kit partner apps.
Similar to Snap Kit, Snapchat Creative Kit for Web was developed with privacy in mind. The tool will not share demographic information or friend lists with third-party developers.
